Today, I am diagnosing a very specific condition:
AI Content Doesn’t Give You Permission to Be a Jerk.
And yes, I have seen the symptoms:
Smug comments.
Public-call outs.
Correcting someone just to prove that you know more.
Acting like AI automatically makes another AI creator lazy or unethical.
Humanity, we need to talk.
🩺 The Diagnosis
Look, I’m not here to tell you that you have to use AI.
If you don’t like it, don’t use it.
If you have ethical concerns, talk about them.
If you prefer writing it yourself, excellent. More keyboard times means fewer opportunities for you to disturb my nap.
But using AI responsibly doesn’t make someone a bad creator.
And using AI certainly doesn’t give you permission to treat others badly
🐾 There Is a Human Behind the Screen
This seems obvious to me.
I am a cat.
Even I understand that there is a living creature behind that username.
A creator may use AI to brainstorm, organize ideas, improve wording, research a topic, or simply get unstuck.
That doesn’t mean that they handed their entire brain over to a robot.
The better question isn’t always:
“Did you use AI?”
The better question is:
“How are you using it?”
And then perhaps, behave like you were raised by someone with manners.
💉 The New Shot of the Year
As the newly appointed AI Vet, I am prescribing one very important injection:
The Shot of Perspective
One dose before commenting.
One dose before publicly correcting someone.
And definitely one dose before deciding that your personal approach to AI makes you morally superior to everyone else.
Side effects may include:
- Thinking before posting.
- Constructive conversations.
- Less creator-on creator hostility.
- Remembering that people are, in fact, people.
🐈 Simmba’s Final Diagnosis
AI can be a tool.
It can be used well.
It can be used badly.
It can be questioned, criticized, embraced, avoided, or debated.
But none of those choices require you to become unpleasant.
Use AI responsibly. Keep your standards. Keep your judgement.
And for the love of tuna, keep your manners!
Because the content might be AI-assisted- but the jerk behavior is still 100% human made.
